Payment Policy: Payment terms are net 15 days from receipt of bill unless otherwise agreed. AGAPE will be unable to provide additional services to consumers whose accounts are 60 days delinquent.
Number of Interpreters: The number of interpreters needed for an assignment will be determined by considering such factors as the length, nature, subject matter, number of Deaf consumers, their particular communication needs and any other considerations that would affect the interpreting outcome of the assignment. The industry standard requires two (2) interpreters for jobs more than two hours. This is reflective of the numbers and diversity of Deaf persons present and if complex material is presented. AGAPE reserves the right to make the final decision regarding how many interpreters will be needed at a particular assignment.
Cancellation Policy: Once an interpreter is confirmed, you have 24 hours from the time of service (M-F) to cancel without charge. Requests cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will be charged for the ENTIRE scheduled time.
No Show: Interpreting services are provided in good faith. When the Deaf or hearing person does not show up for an appointment, interpreters will follow AGAPE policy and wait 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the interpreter is free to go and billing will include the entire time scheduled. If the interpreter should fail to appear, there will be no charge for the assignment.
Early Dismissal of Interpreters: If you dismiss the interpreter(s) earlier than the time scheduled, you will still be billed for the number of hours initially scheduled.
Requests made less than 24 hours: A $20.00 fee will be applied for each non-emergency event.
Your agreeing to services implies you understand and comply with all the terms mentioned above.
